Crail – the Jewel of the East Neuk

Crail Matters and Kingsbarns Eagle are the weekly newspapers of the villages of Crail and Kingsbarns, located in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland; they are funded entirely by donations from advertisers and readers.  Crail Matters and Kingsbarns Eagle are published by Crab Publishing, a public interest company limited by guarantee which distributes any profits to the local community. It is published in digital format every Friday at 8.00am. If you are unable to access the digital copy a  subsidised print copy is available – contact us if you need to receive this service. Subscriptions – the amount you might subscribe is entirely up to you,  but we have pre-filled units £5/month for the digital edition – click on this link, and you will be able to choose how many months you want the subscription to run.

Print Purse : to subscribe £5/month to our Print Purse fund for continuing the print issues please click here. This enables us to distribute hard copies free of charge to people in our community who for whatever reason cannot access the digital copy.

We will continue to make digital issues freely available to all those on our mailing list, and will make no charge for advertisements. We thank all those readers who have already donated. We have received queries abut making a hard copy of Crail Matters more generally available. Would you like to collect a hard copy from our office in the town Hall? We will have to charge for this, but if you are interested please let us know – we estimate an 8 week subscription to be around £12.

Material for inclusion should be received by Wednesday evening before publication on Friday. We reserve the right to edit copy for length and style. Submission of copy does not guarantee inclusion.
